Surfing Hainan Open - Bigger, better and more fun!

Regular competitions surfing Surfing Hainan Open, presented by Source , went to Hainan from 6 to 8 November. Due to the excellent sponsorship Source , Quiksilver , iconx , Ocean Pacific and Hainan Beer, we were able to bring this event to the next level. Contest surpassed all expectations, it was attended by 35 surfers from 13 different countries, a good caliber of surfing, sunny weather and booze river only reinforced the holiday. On weekends, usually sleepy village Zhiyuevan turned into a festive beach party, which brought together more than 150 people. Sponsors and organizers made sure that everyone had fun at the beach, and the event has grown into one of the best parties on the island of Hainan.

Chamber Source was one of the richest events on the site, girls in bikinis, Brawls, children and cocktails. Eli is seriously underestimated the thirst of the people and somehow figured that 12 bottles of vodka will be enough for cocktails on the weekend. But this is barely enough to keep the judges happy for only the first day.

Discipline Shortbord supported by Quiksilver

In the discipline of shortbord Quiksilver competed all four finalists last year - Nate Mettler (Nate Mettler), Todd Moore (Todd Moore), Craig Kolbren (Craig Colbran) and Vaughn Hill (Vaughn Hill). They are opposed by other skillful contestants who participated for the first time: Barack Nachmanoff (Barak Nachmani), Jason Guy (Jason Guy), Daniel Bergamashi (Daniel Bergamaschi, now personally I ached for this Brazilian), Daniel Lau (Daniel Lau) and Sam Lawn (Sam Lawn). Due to the fact that Swell gradually subsided, all races in this discipline have been the first day. Riders vykatali in these conditions to the maximum, making as many turns on the waves to the waist as general as possible. Final results:

1 st place - Jason Guy
2 nd place - Craig Colbran (Australia, now living and surfing in Hong Kong)
3 place - Todd Moore (USA, California, now living and surfing in Hong Kong)
4 th place - Barak Nachmani (Israel, lives in Beijing, surf in Hong Kong)

Discipline Longboard supported iconx

Wingnut

In the Longboard from iconx we seen the return on Hainan Professional Longboard Rider and the star of the famous surf movie Endless Summer-2 Robert «Wingnut» Weaver (Robert «Wingnut» Weaver). While the waves were too small for shortbordov, Longboard able to roll out a long wrapped left waves. The winner of this discipline last year, Spears Rosie (Rosie Speers) was unable to attend, as was back as Australia. But the finalists last year, Craig Kolbren (Craig Colbran), and Todd Moore (Todd Moore) again won the position in the finals, they were also joined by Daniel Lau (Daniel Lau) and Wingnut. Latest walked shoulder to shoulder competing to see who would make a better headstand. Wingnut judges landed several passages straight from the beach. Final results:

1 st place - Wingnut (USA, California, Santa Cruz)
2 nd place - Craig Colbran (Australia, now living and surfing in Hong Kong)
3 place - Daniel Lau (USA, Hawaii)
4 place-Todd Moore (USA, California, now living and surfing in Hong Kong)

Discipline Bodibord supported by Ocean Pacific

In the discipline of bodibord Ocean Pacific, we saw the return Dzheffri Daniel (Daniel Jeffery) and Luke Howkins (Luke Hawkins), and those participating for the first time Wanda Kennedy (Wanda Kennedy) and James O'Donnell (James O'Donnel). It certainly was difficult conditions for bodibordinga, but some riders were able to get the most, showing such entertainment items as a coup and turn on 360. Final results:

1 st place - Daniel Jeffery (Australia, surfing began in Japan, now living and surfing in Hong Kong)
2 nd place - James O'Donnel (Australia, surfing began in Taiwan, lives in Guangzhou, surfing in Hong Kong. Kapets geography)
3 place - Luke Hawkins (New Zealand, lives and surfing in South Korea)
4 th place - Wanda Hawkins (Australia, live and surf in Hong Kong)
